People Exchange: A British Council’s Post-Colonial Distinguished Cultural Investment

چکیده

Abstract Since the beginning of post-colonial era, preserving already acquired links and pioneered cultural ties cultivated during colonial era with overseas people, has remained a priority for British Council. The latter did not mince efforts to protect interests, particularly when strong competition from more powerful countries could threaten position on international scene. Thus, Council’s People Exchange activity was considered as one most important investment which Council rely back Britain in times turbulences.
